Below is a short biography of Chris: Chris was born in Whitefield, Manchester in 1991 and began learning the Cornet when he was 8 years old. After spending his teenage years in Brass Bands, he purchased a trumpet when he was 16, and began to take more orchestral roots, joining the Bury Youth Orchestra where he was there Principal Trumpet for 3 years. From October 2009, Chris has been studying at York University where he is reading music.. He is a member of the University Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra, Baroque Ensemble, Jazz Orchestra and The Chimera Ensemble, a student run contemporary music group. He is currently receiving lessons from Gary Farr, BBC Philharmonic whilst in Manchester, Richard Martin, Principal trumpet with the Northern Sinfonia , Tim Barber of the Halle and baroque specialist and world renowned trumpet player, Crispian Steele Perkins. He is available to hire for all events especially Weddings and Concerts and looks forward to hearing from any interested parties!
